Blue Note Big Band Performances

tuesday, july 17, 7 o'clock, Rochester

We'll swing into downtown Rochester for a fun-filled Concert on the Common
with plenty of big band favorites and some surprises too. We're looking
forward to seeing many of our long-time friends, but if you've never
been to one of these relaxing summer concerts, please mark the date
and bring the whole family. At the Rochester Common Bandstand,
near the intersection of Rte. 108 and South Main Street.
Lawn chairs or a blanket and insect repellent recommended.
Free and open to the public.

wednesday, july 25, 6:30, Durham

You really should check out the terrific Libraries Rock! Summer Music on the Lawn Series
at the Durham Public Library, 49 Madbury Road, at the edge of the UNH campus.
Beautiful outdoor venue for a nice summer evening. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic
if you wish. All ages welcome.  Rain or Shine. If rainy, the concert moves to the community room upstairs.
Lawn chairs or a blanket and insect repellent recommended.
Free and open to the public.

thursday, August 9, 5:30, Cape Neddick

There are few more beautiful settings for an evening of big band jazz
than the historic stone chapel of St. Peter's by the Sea, Cape Neddick, Maine.
We're delighted to return for our annual jazz concert that raises funds for
the continual maintenenance and restoration of this architectural gem.
We're planning a concert of classic jazz from "The Great American Songbook," featuring
vocalist Denise Therrien and music director Charlie Jennison on piano.
Concert begins at 5:30, followed by a wine and cheese reception on the rectory lawn
overlooking the Atlantic coast. This is truly a special place and a special night.
The chapel is found at 535 Shore Road, Cape Neddick. Open to all. No religious affiliation necessary.
$25 admission includes full concert program and complimentary wine and cheese reception.
Funding for the event is underwritten by local donors and businesses,
so all of your ticket fee goes directly to the building restoration fund.
